CHICOPEE Anna Mae Wesloski, 89, of Chicopee, died at Day Brook Village Assisted Living surrounded by her family on February 18, 2019. She was born in Holyoke on April 1, 1929, to the late Michael and Elizabeth (Griffin) Ryan. Anna Mae graduated from St. Jerome High School in 1946.

There she met the love her life and husband of 71 years, James (Jim) Wesloski. Anna Mae retired from the South Hadley School Lunch Program as head cook after 18 years. In retirement, she golfed with her husband and spent countless hours with her grandchildren.

She enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sports, games and dance recitals, as well as spending mornings at the Elms College gym, where she loved to swim and walk with all her friends and head to breakfast after her workout. A snowbird, she traveled widely, visiting Florida, California, Hawaii, and Ireland. Anna Mae is survived by her children James and wife Helen, Michael, Mary and husband Steven, and Beth and husband Michael her brother-in-law John and wife Rosemary, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband James, brothers, Joe, Daniel, Buddy, and her sisters, Teresa, Mary and Elizabeth, sister-in-law Julie, daughter-in-law Caron, and granddaughter Kimberly. The funeral will be held, Friday, March 15, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton, St, Holyoke, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Saint Patrick Church, 30 Main Street, South Hadley. Burial will follow at Saint Jerome Cemetery in Holyoke.

Calling hours will be held prior to the funeral from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Maguire Center at the Elms College in Chicopee MA.
