Obituary for Anna Ruth Hoover Rearden Anna Ruth Hoover Rearden, 78, of Hartford went to her heavenly home on Saturday, October 27, 2018, while at the Beaver Dam Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born July 9, 1940 to William Cody and Adelia (Hicks) Hoover in Ohio County. On May 11, 1957, she wed Paul R. Rearden at Clear Run Baptist Church.

She was his beloved wife for more than 61 years. Following her marriage, she lived in Northern Indiana and began raising a family. In 1970 the family moved to Brownsburg, Indiana where she became an active member of Bethesda Baptist Church.

In 1998, she and her husband returned to live on her home place in rural Hartford. She was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Hartford.

Along with her husband, she leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory including her daughter Cindy (Richard) Schrier of Thorntown, Indiana and her sons David (Mindra) Rearden of Brownsburg, Indiana and Kenneth (Dee) Rearden of Thorntown, her grandchildren Patrick Beach of Indianapolis, Indiana, Jeff (Michelle) Schrier of Thorntown, Joshua Schrier (Julia Weisman) of Washington, DC, Cody (Emilee) Rearden of Brownsburg, Stinson (Bekah) Rearden of Brownsburg, Zachery Rearden of Thorntown, Dakota Chambers of Thorntown, Holley (Kasey) Copeland of Thorntown, Peyton Rearden (Matt McDonald) of Lebanon, Indiana, Charlie Williams of Indianapolis, Chad Williams of Indianapolis along with 12 great grandchildren. She will also be lovingly remembered by all her brother and sister-in-law’s and nephews and nieces. Anna Ruth was loved by all who knew her for bright smile, fun sense of humor and her ability to always look on the bright side.

Her faith in Christ helped her to overcome difficulties and encourage others. She enjoyed being outdoors, bird watching, traveling with family and friends, and listening to gospel music. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Edward Lee Hoover, a grandson and a great granddaughter.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm on Thursday November 1, 2018 at the Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford. Funeral services will be held 2pm on Friday November 2, 2018 at the funeral home with calling hours again from 11 am until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Clear Run Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Building Fund c/o Gerri Stinnett, 9536 Highway 1414, Hartford, KY 42347. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
