She was born August 24, 1970 in Kenosha, daughter of the late Patricia Usinger and Tom Nighbor. She was employed as a CNA, working in the Antigo area and at the VA Hospital in Chicago.

Survivors, in addition to Tom Nighbor of Kenosha, include 4 children, Breanna (Steven) Pleshek of Bonduel, Lea Usinger of Edgar, Nicholas (Sadie) Flores currently stationed in Florida with the US Air Force, and Zoe Flores of Antigo; 6 grandchildren, Infinity, Gauge, Mena, Paxton, Bayne, and Oakleigh.
