Annie Lois Blackwood Walker, 93 passed away May 26, 2018 at her home. She was born May 26, 1925, in Hartselle to John Henry Blackwood and Fannie Lou Price Blackwood. She was preceded in death by her husband or 73 years, James Newell Walker; her daughter Charlotte Elaine Bradley; her parents, brothers, Melvin Blackwood, Elrie Blackwood, Elmer Blackwood, Arlin Blackwood, Hobert Blackwood, and Buddy Blackwood; and her sisters, Addis Roy, Vera Blackwood, and Loree Boger.

She is survived by her son, James Alan Walker (Sharon); granddaughters, Starla Bradley Poole (Jason), Lora Bradley Vest, Shelley Walker Hemming (Chris), and Shauna Walker Hinkle (Randy); eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Hoover Blackwood. Mrs. Walker was a homemaker and farmer’s wife. She was a Christian and believed that only through Jesus could one go to heaven.

She loved her family and left her family a legacy of inspirational writings. Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00PM on Thursday May 31, 2018 at Peck Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 3:00PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.

Billy Gable and Rev. Steve Brown officiating with burial in the Salem Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Bradley, Randy Hinkle, Chris Hemming, Seth Pillow, Jakob Smith, and Austin Vest.
