A homegoing celebration for Mrs. Annie Ruth Brown of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018 will be held on Saturday, June 9th, at 3:30 p.m.. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. , Apostle David A Boyd, officiating.

The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Annie was born on December 4, 1952 to the late Charlie Brown, Sr. and Charlotte Anderson in Savannah Georgia. She was a member of Pentecostal Holiness Church and loved nursing.

Annie was the youngest of her siblings. She was raised in Liberty County and was a 1971 graduate of Bradwell High School in Hinesville, GA. She later moved to Columbus, GA in 1975 and worked as a CNA.

She returned to Liberty County in 2006 working at Woodland Healthcare. In April of 2009 she moved to Tampa, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Brown (Charlotte) and 1 sister, Mary Alvin.

She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories with her brothers, Charles (Miriam) of Columbus, GA and Albert Brown (Gertrude) of Hinesville, GA; sisters, Minnie George (Horace), Kathy Baldwin, Elaine Watson, Martha Jones and Eleanor Crafton; nieces, Janice Walker, Juanita Fischer, Patricia Brown, Sophia Roberson, Annie Bell Stidhum, Tiffany Johnson and Geniece Brown; nephews, Eric Johnson, Ambrose Alvin, Jermaine Hayes, Edward Jones, Nathaniel Alvin and Herbert Hayes, Jr.; a very dear friend she called her sister, Louise Mayes and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and cousins.
