Obituary of Antoinette Lucas Antoinette “Nettie” Diorio Lucas, age 96, of Shelton, passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Francis G. Lucas. Born in Bridgeport on December 18, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Josephine Misurale Diorio.

Nettie enjoyed spending time with her family and was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She leaves behind her loving son, David Lucas and his wife Barbara of Naugatuck, two beloved grandchildren, Darrell Lucas and his wife Jennifer of TX and Denise Latino and her husband Matthew of NY and a cherished great granddaughter, Addison Lucas as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Eleanor Panicali, Jeanne Prokop and Louise Kubik.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA, 01701.
