OBITUARY Antonio Simon Trujillo July 11, 1923 – September 24, 2018 Antonio (Tony) Simon Trujillo, age 95, passed away on September 24, 2018 in Oxford, Florida. Tony was born on July 11, 1923, in Springer, New Mexico to Antonio Trujillo, Sr. and Lucia Sanchez. He was the 9th of 11 siblings who all preceded him in death.

Tony was married to Elisa Dominguez, (who passed away 09/06/2007). Tony had two daughters: Chesstyne Tina Hudson, Loyola Rose Miller, grandfather of four, and great grandfather of twelve. Tony retired from the KCMO Police Department in 1975.

Life member in the VFW Post 7356. He served the US Marine Corps during WWII and saw action in the South Pacific against Japan. He witnessed the surrender of Japan in Tokyo Bay August 26, 1945.

Tony was President of United Coal Mine Workers of America Local Union 6419,Dawson, New Mexico 1946-1948 Phelps Dodge Corp. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Parkinson Foundation. Please join the family in celebrating Tony’s life.

The viewing will be held at McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Road, KCMO 64119 on Sunday, 9/30 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm with the rosary at 5:00 pm Mass will be at St. James Church in Liberty, MO on Monday 10/1/18 at 10:00 am. Burial in Leavenworth National Cemetery at 12:30 pm on Monday.
