OBITUARY Argent Jackson Erwood April 25, 1927 – September 15, 2018 Argent Irene (Jaynes) Jackson Erwood, 91, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, September 15, 2018 in Kingsport, Tennessee. Argent was born on April 25, 1927 in Limestone, Tennessee to the late Clarence and Daisy Bradley Jaynes. Argent was raised in Limestone, Tennessee and graduated from high school at Washington College Academy.

She had been a resident of Kingsport most of her adult life and had enjoyed many winters in Florida. She attended First Church of God of Kingsport for many years, and later Oakwood Forest Christian Church. Argent was primarily a homemaker and enjoyed flower arranging, cooking, painting, decorating, gardening and traveling.

Argent was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend; she will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, Argent was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth W. Jackson; brothers, Marlin Jaynes, Sr. and Dallas Jaynes; and sisters, Bea Jones, Agnes Whitt Jones and Lillian Curtis. Left to cherish her memories are her husband, R. Jack Erwood; daughter, Charlotte Sue (Jackson) Daughtry Wolfe; son, Dan L. Jackson & wife Janis; granddaughter, Amy Daughtry Hamilton & husband David; grandson, Bryan Daughtry & wife Concetta; two great-grandchildren, Kennedy & Harrison Hamilton; step-daughters, Jackie Steadman & children, and Judith Ann Thompson & husband Robert; brother, George Jaynes & wife Sandra; sisters, Frances Davis and Hilda Williams & husband Bob; and several nieces & nephews.

The family will greet guests and share memories on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home in Kingsport, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with her nephew, Rev. Marlin Jaynes, Jr. officiating.

Committal services will follow in Christus Garden of East Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial Contributions may be made to Oakwood Forest Christian Church, 1713 E. Sevier Avenue, Kingsport, TN 37664. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.
