Obituary for Arla E. Allen Arla E. Allen passed away Saturday, May 26th, 2018 at Big Sky Senior Living. She was born in Bozeman June 7, 1928, the only child of Ernest and Alma (Nave) Rider. Arla graduated from Butte High School in 1946 and from the Butte Business College in 1948.

She worked as secretary for the North Butte Mining Company and later the Anaconda Company. On September 22, 1957 she married William F. Allen in the First Presbyterian Church. He preceded her in death on April 27, 2000.

Arla was a very active and longtime member of First Presbyterian Church. She served as an Elder, a Deacon and President of the Presbyterian Women. She was a member of the choir as well as the bell choir.

She enjoyed sewing and made many banners for the church. She volunteered many years for The United Way and was awarded volunteer of the year for The United Way (2008-2009). She also enjoyed crocheting, reading, bowling crafts and music.

Arla is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Tracy Allen of Butte, grandchildren: Kristyn and Aaron Godderidge of Middleton, Idaho, their children, Jaxton, Taytum and one baby girl yet to be delivered and Kayla and Robert Boothe of Middleton, Idaho and their daughter Peyton.
