Arlene Charlotte Cobb, age 84, of Dayton, passed away early Wednesday morning May 22, 2019 at Memorial North Park Hospital in Hixson. She was born on August 31, 1934 in Lakeland, FL, the daughter of the late Clyde Holmes Robertson and Pearl Ellea DeCordova Melton. Arlene raised her family in Forest City, FL and has lived on Dayton Mountain since 1992.

She worked at Florida Hospital Laundry, Strawders Market, and Plaza Square. Above all she was a mother and a homemaker, she enjoyed stamping, gardening and many arts and crafts. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and served at the church’s Dorcas for 10 to 15 years helping families in need.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Albert E. Cobb of Dayton; her son, Garry (Pat) Cobb of Dayton; her four daughters, Joy (Michael) Davis of Graysville, Karen Cobb, Laurie Thomas, and April Shaw, all of New Smyrna Beach, FL; her brother, Robby (Lisa) Robertson of Sanford, FL; her grandchildren, Ricky Wynn, Eric Carter, Danny (Melanie) Carter, Garth Thomas, Devyn (Michael) Vega, Jessica Burns, Grai Shaw and Chancellor Shaw; her great-grandchildren, Jasmyn Vega, Jadyn Vega, Jeremiah Vega, Ashton Bryan, Brantly Carter, Kassidy Wynn, Emily Wynn, Kaiann Burns and Kade Burns.
