Arnold married Joann Anderson May 2, 1959; he died just 2 months short of his 60th anniversary. Arnold liked fishing, hunting, gardening, farming, selling vegetables at his farm stand and taking his family on vacations.

He loved his family and was able to see all of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren at home in the days before his death, which gave him great comfort. He was a devout Lutheran and his faith in God led his life to the last minute. He was preceded in death by his parents, Conrad and Marie; siblings, Henry, Alexander, Edna, Adeline, Helen, Florence, Norma, Edward, Donald.

Survived by his wife, Joann; sons, Robert (Robin) of Bridgman, John of Baroda, and Roger (Rhonda) of Buchanan; grandchildren, Amy, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Susan, Andrea, Timothy; great-grandchildren, Zayne, Olivia, Drake, Angel, Emily, Abigail, Matthew, Adeline, Landon, Logan, Leora, Legend. Visitation will begin at 11 am on Friday, March 8, 2019 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Funeral service for Arnold will be held at 1 pm with Reverend Jonathan Liebich officiating.

Burial will follow at Glendora Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1733 W. Glendora Rd. , Buchanan, MI 49107.
