Obituary of Arthur Chete Arthur “Art” Chete, Born Jan. 7, 1938. Went to his home in Heaven on Feb 23, 2019.

Art is survived by his devoted wife Bonnie, children: Todd and Kim Chete, grandsons, Justin and Tyler Chete, daughter –in-law Kayrn Chete, and nephews and nieces. He served proudly in the USMC from 1956- 1959. Art received an A.A degree in Police Administration in 1969, a B.S. degree in Criminology in 1970, and a Master’s degree in Specialized Law Enforcement in 1972.

He began his law enforcement career as a policeman in 1959 in St. Petersburg, Florida and ended his career in law enforcement at the College of Central Florida (then CFCC), in June of 2001, as Director of the Florida Institute of Criminal Justice. A celebration of his life will be held at Grace Baptist Church in Belleview, FL on Saturday, March 2nd at 11:00 am. His pastor Reverend Rocky Culpepper will officiate the memorial service.

A gathering with be held one hour prior to service at the church all family and friends are welcome to attend and share with the family.
