Obituary for Arturo Fuentes Dateline: Alice, Texas Arturo G. Fuentes age 63 was called home by the Lord on Sept. 26, 2018. He was born on Jan.

10, 1955 in Alice, Texas to Manuel and Maria Fuentes. Arturo was a life-long resident of Alice, Texas he graduated from Alice High School and joined the National Guard. He worked as a bartender for over 15 years at numerous night clubs before finding the one thing he loved doing the most.

He was well known by many for being a people’s person and an excellent waiter, was awarded the The Reader’s Choice Award for best waiter in Alice, while working at Chente’s Restaurant. Arturo will be remembered for his beautiful voice and dancing skills, he enjoyed singing, boxing, playing guitar and accordion. He was a kind man with a big heart who helped anyone in need.

He opened his doors to several homeless and needy people by taking them in to his home. Arturo was also a faithful and loyal Dallas Cowboy fan who never missed a Sunday game. Arturo was a member of the Stonegate Baptist Church.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was very outgoing and active. He was preceded in death by his father: Manuel Fuentes Jr, Paternal Grandparents: Manuel & Maxima Fuentes, Maternal grandparents: Alfredo & Paula Gonzalez & Nephew Arnold Casas Jr. Survivors: Wife: Janet Fuentez of Snyder, Tx. 3 daughters: Marilyn (Rick) Gonzalez of Alice, Tx.

Scarlett Fuentes of Snyder, Tx. Sydney Fuentes of Snyder, Tx. 2 sons: Arturo (Maggie) Fuentes Jr. of Alice, Tx.

Stephen (Miranda) Fuentes of Alice, Tx. Mother: Maria (ElPidio Godines) Fuentes of Alice, Tx. Sister: Paula (Rey Ruiz) Fuentes of Alice, Tx.

8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, niece and nephew. Visitation will begin on Friday, Sept. 28, 2018 from 4-9PM with a Prayer Service to be recited at 7PM in the Roberson Funeral Home Chapel in Alice, Tx.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018 at 10AM at the Stonegate Baptist Church in Alice, Texas with Alfredo Benavides officiating. Burial will follow in Roberson Collins cemetery Services entrusted to Roberson Funeral Home of Alice, Tx.
