Obituary for Margarita V Sumner Dateline: Three Rivers Margarita V. Sumner, age 94, passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side on Friday, October 5, 2018. She was born in Starr County on May 7, 1924 to Alejandro and Agustina (Hernandez) Vela. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband Dionicio Silva. Survivors include: Husband: Charles Sumner of Three Rivers. 1 Son: Ramon D. Silva of Alice.

2 Daughters: Sylvia Cavazos and Sinforosa Guerrero both of Three Rivers. She was blessed with 39 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren combined. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 8, 2018 from 5-8 with a prayer service at 7 PM with Minister Kevin Mackey officiating the service.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 10 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alice. Burial to follow the service at the New Collins Cemetery, Alice, Texas. Services entrusted to Roberson Funeral Home, Three Rivers.
