Obituary for Mrs. Audrey Reeves Audrey Reeves entered into eternal rest on August 6, 2018 in the presence of her husband John Reeves, her sister Sandra Brown of Central Islip, NY, and her cousin Maggie Lawrence of Hampton, VA. Audrey was born in Tarboro, NC on January 1, 1936 to the late Amanda and Macdonald Lloyd. At an early age the family moved to Newport News VA.

Upon graduating from Hunting High School, Audrey moved to New York City where she met the love of her life, John Reeves. They married on December 16, 1956. For 62 years Audrey was a devoted, caring, and loving wife, whose love will forever be carried in her husbands’ heart.

She leaves her memory to be cherished by her sisters Gwendolyn Hagans Pettaway (Richard)of Tarboro, NC and Sandra Brown of Central Islip, NY, nieces; Siopia Brown and Shinkassha Brown, both of Central Islip, New York, nephews; Sah-u-Ra Brown (Emily) of Washington DC, Chad Hagans (Tonya), Gejuan Hagans (Yolanda), and Eric Hagans, all of Tarboro, NC, sister in law Joesphine Reeves of Fontana, CA, Patricia Whitehead (Willie) of Newport News, brother in law William Reeves of Ashville, NC, along with a host of cousins and friends who she cared for dearly. Reverend Dr. Alexander Jamison Sr., of Ivy Farms Community of Faith Church, will be officiating.
