Obituary for Barbara Ann “Bobbi” McLean (Stout) Print Barbara “Bobbi” McLean passed away on February 5th, 2019. Barbara was born August 12, 1935 to Homer and Gertrude Stout in Imperial, Nebraska. She grew up in Grant where she graduated from Perkins County High School and the University of Nebraska.
She married Jack McLean in Grant on November 9th, 1958. Bobbi worked as a 2nd grade teacher for 5 years in Nebraska prior to having children and later moving to Wisconsin. Bobbi loved to spend her time traveling with her children and grandchildren, golfing or playing cards with friends and family.
Bobbi was also incredibly dedicated to her relationship with Jesus Christ and was a committed member of Northbrook Church. She also spent many years participating in Bible Study Fellowships. She was invested in praying for her family and friends every week with her dear friend, Ginny Steiner.
She has left a legacy of love and faithfulness in the lives of the many she touched whether through candid conversations over lunch or coffee, or even just consistent prayer from afar. Bobbi was a deeply generous and loving wife, mother, sister, and friend, who was always looking out for the people in her life. It was very important to Bobbi that people knew of the hope she’d found in Jesus, especially as she battled cancer for many years.
She spoke with confidence about her heavenly home and wanted everyone to know the peace she felt for the future. It was this strength she found in God that carried her through the many treatments and recoveries she experienced throughout the past three years. Bobbi is survived by her loving husband, Jack, of 60 years; her siblings Ruth, Bill, and her triplet sisters Betty and Beth; her children, Scott of Crivitz, Mike (Laurie) of Slinger and her grandchildren Drew (Courtney) and Steve.
She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three of her brothers Lyndle, Russel, and Donald, as well as three of her sisters, Margaret, Doris, and Jean. A Celebration of Bobbi’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 9th, at Northbrook Church ( 4014 Hwy 167 West, Richfield, WI, 53076).
Visitation will take place at the church on Saturday from 9:00-10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Fort Wilderness Ministries, P.O.
