Barbara Ann (Harig) Collins, 77, wife of the late Ronald A. Collins of Exeter passed away on Friday, December 28, 2018 in the Phoenixville Hospital. She was born on April 28, 1941, daughter of the late Paul Harig and the late Gloria (Rosenberger) (Harig) Gray and step-daughter of Robert J. Gray. Barbara worked at the former Pennhurst State School for 25 years and then was employed by M-5 Inc

She was a member of the Womans Club of St. Lawrence in Reading, PA Barbara was a caregiver all her life and taking care of people made her happy. It was what she did best, she loved everyone. She will be remembered for her knitting and crocheting, pierogies and cookies, and her love for her family.

She is survived by 3 children: Samuel Henderson and Donna Jefferson, Deborah wife of the late Richard Schmale, and David Collins; 5 grandchildren: Angie Jefferson, David “DJ” Collins, Shawn Collins, Henry Schmale, and Aimee Schmale; great granddaughter, Erin Noel Collins: 2 brothers: George Harig and Robert M. husband of Dolores Gray, and sister Mary Ellen wife of Richard Davis. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Barbara’s life at Spring Hollow Golf Club, 3350 Schuylkill Road, Spring City, PA on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 12:00 to 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Animal Rscue League of Berks County or perfom a random act of kindness in her honor.
