Obituary for Barbara Ann Jackson Print Mrs. Barbara Ann Jackson, age 71 of Mineola, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2019. Barbara was born April 15th, 1947 to the late, Thomas and Elizabeth Canup in Rockwall. She was a member of Spur on Ministries in Mineola.

Barbara worked for Dallas Morning News until her retirement. She was known as the comedian of her family, she loved making others laugh. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Elizabeth Canup, and one grandchild.

She is survived by her husband, Terry Jackson; sons, Tracy Compton and his wife, Stacy and Donny Compton; stepson, Jesse Jackson and his wife, Emmie; stepdaughters, Candy Hoskins and her husband, Mike and Tasha Jackson; eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Barbara will be greatly missed by both, her family and church family. Services for Barbara are Saturday, March 2, 2019, 10 am at Spur On Ministries, 2670 S State Highway 37, Mineola, Texas 75773 in Mineola.
