Barbara C. Daberko, 78, passed on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at her residence with her loving family by her side. Barbara Jones was born in Barberton, OH and attended Hudson (OH) High School where she was a cheerleader and May Queen. She married her high school sweetheart Bill Daberko in 1962.

Military service took them across Europe, including a pup-tenting excursion on the French Riviera. They returned to northeastern Ohio where they lived until declaring Estero, FL their home in 2000. Barb was the owner/proprietor of The Ball & Skein Needlework Shop in Hudson from 1980-1987.

She was a founding member of the Stitch-N- Needlecraft Association – both the Northern and Southeastern Chapters – and a charter member of the Tuesday Wine Club at Wildcat Run. She was an accomplished knitter and seamstress and put her numerous talents to work for charities such as Knit For Kids and WorldVision. She is survived by Bill, her husband of 57 years, her brother Keith (Marilyn) Jones, sons Brad (Janet) Daberko and Brett (Kathleen) Daberko, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and scores of people who simply enjoyed spending time with her.

A Memorial Visitation to celebrate her life will be held Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Shikany’s Bonita Funeral Home 28300 Tamiami Tr. So. , Bonita Springs.
