OBITUARY Barbara J. Ryther August 2, 1944 – October 24, 2018 Barbara Joan Ryther, 74, of Martinsville, VA, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Blue Ridge Rehab in Martinsville, VA. She was born in Waltham, Massachusetts on August 2, 1944 to the late Gordon and Alice Baker Greene. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Lowe.

Barbara is survived by a son, Glenn Baker; two daughters, Randlynn Ryther and April Mahaffey; five grandchildren, Devyn Ryther, Gabby Carty, Katie Carty, Sasha and Damien Bingham; and three great grandchildren. She was a retired store manager. She also enjoyed knitting and cooking for her family.

The funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, October 29, 2018 at Collins and McKee-Stone Funeral Home, 30 Riverside Dr, Bassett, VA. The family will visit after the service.
