Barbara Ann Large King, 72 of Sevierville passed away December 13, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. Barbara was born on November 11, 1946 in Sevierville to Dave and Rosetta Large. She is a graduate of Gatlinburg Pittman High School.

On January 20, 1965, she married Max King. They raised two children, Rodney and Zetta. Barbara and Max operated King’s Swimming Pool Service and B & M Storage for over 30 years.

Barbara found her calling in serving her family and friends, and especially during times of difficulties or sickness.

Whether it was preparing meals, or running errands, or simply providing support, she always placed the needs of others before her own. Her warm smile, warm meals, and laughter will surely be missed. Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Dave, and her mother, Rosetta, and brothers Ed Large, Ronnie Large, and Sam Large.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Max; her sister, Faye Deavers; her children, Rodney King (Lisa) of New Market, TN and Zetta Carmon (Jeff) of Owensboro, KY; her grandchildren, Spencer King (Hannah), Lindsey Dissmore (Brent), and Hayden and Emma Carmon; her great grandchildren Lanie, Ace, and Blair King, and sister-in-laws, several nieces, nephews, and family friends. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Monday, December 17 with funeral service to follow at 7 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home. Grave side service will be Tuesday, December 18, at 3 PM in Pigeon Forge Baptist Cemetery.
