Obituary for Barbara Metcalf Barbara Mae Metcalf, age 77, of Columbus, died May 31, 2018 at Doctors Hospital. She was a 1957 graduate of Madison South High School and attended Columbus Business College. She was a member of Triangle Chapter #592 OES and was active with Luther B. Turner Lodge Turnerettes.

Barbara was a longtime member of Columbia Heights United Methodist Church and a former volunteer at Mt. Carmel West. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Sarah Jane Smith and brother, David Smith.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 57 years, Daryl; children, Robyn (Wayne) Bubenchik and Lynn (Jill) Metcalf; grandchildren, Jackie (Morgan) Brinsley, Jason Bubenchik, Brennan, Mason, Olivia, and Alexa Metcalf; great grandchildren, Audrina and Trace Brinsley; sister, Betty (Carl) Mitchell; sisters-in-law, Carol Ditto, Sharon Quillen, and Delores “Jane” Stotler; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Friends will be received from 4-7:00pm Thursday, June 7, 2018 at HEART and HOPE FUNERAL HOME BY SCHOEDINGER, 3030 West Broad Street, where an Eastern Star Service will be held at 6:30pm Thursday and a funeral service will be held at 10:00am Friday, June 8, 2018, Pastor Nathan Custer officiating; interment at Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make contributions to Shriners Hospitals for Children – Cincinnati, 3229 Burnet Ave.
