Obituary of Barbara Wilder Barbara Ann Cox Wilder, 81, wife of Walter Eugene Wilder, Sr., passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019 at her home. Born on June 12, 1937, in Andrews, she was a daughter of the late Elie Davis Cox and the late Ruth Swails Cox. Mrs. Wilder was a member of Andrews Church of God and was a Vacation Bible School volunteer for many years.

She had a great love for her fish and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Wilder had a quiet demeanor and would do anything for anyone. Survivors include her husband of Andrews; four children, Betty W. Newton (Jerry) of Andrews, Walter E. “Gene” Wilder, Jr. of Myrtle Beach, David B. Wilder of Andrews and Sandra W. Smith (Don) of Andrews; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter in law, Lynn Wilder; one brother, D.W. Cox and one sister, Blondell Welch. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Andrews Church of God. Burial will follow in the Andrews Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM Tuesday at the church. Memorials may be made to Andrews Church of God, 310 N. Morgan Ave. Andrews, SC 29510 Online condolences may be left at www.
