Obituary for Barbara Sullivan Barbara P. Sullivan, “Sully” of New Monmouth, previously of Leonardo, born September 6, 1959 in Jersey City passed away on December 8, 2018 surrounded by loved ones. Barbara fought and overcame serious illnesses for 45 years. Despite this, she always had a positive outlook and was “the life of the party”.

She is survived by her loving spouse and best friend Donna MacDonald of New Monmouth, her mother Barbara Haines, Shrewsbury and her mother-in-law Ruth MacDonald, New Monmouth. Siblings, Cathy (Tom) Lynch, Joan Fahoury, Laurie Huntley, Terry (John) Lytle, Judy Walker, Henry (Lisa) Haines and Kelly Schleig. She is also survived by her loving “outlaws” Barbara MacDonald(Billy Crotchfelt), Bronco MacDonald(Sue Hunt), Debbie MacDonald Mescal, Mary MacDonald(Ernie Nashi).

Also surviving are 25 nieces and nephews including her Goddaughter Morgan, and 13 great nieces and nephews who she loved with all her heart. She will be greatly missed by her Uncle Donald (Kathy), Aunt Rita and Aunt Mary. Also her Aunt Joan who was a great support in her childhood, as well as many loving Cousins.

Barbara was employed by PSE&G of Summit as a service technician for 30 years. Barbara was a drummer in Atlantic Watch Pipes and Drums Band and Pipe Dreamz. She was an avid sports fan and shared her love by organizing bus trips to major league games.

Barbara also enjoyed an occasional trip to AC and the racetrack. Barbara was the epitome of The Fighting Irish to the end and will be deeply missed by all whose lives she has touched. Barbara will be reposing at the Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home 1735 Rt.

35, Middletown, NJ 07748 on Tuesday December 11, 2018 from 4 – 8pm.
