Obituary for Barron “Buck” Merrell Barron ‘Buck’ Leland Merrell Sr., age 92 of Conyers, died Thursday, November 22, 2018. He is preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie Merrell; parents Barron Merrell and Irene Fullington. He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Barry and Louanne Merrell, Donald Merrell; daughter and son-in-law, Duna and Keith Cummings; grandchildren, Sandy and Ted Bozeman, Lauren and Ana Cesar, Kevin Merrell, Glenn Merrell, Chris Cummings; great-grandchildren, Reece, Ragen, and Rylan Bozeman.

Mr. Merrell retired from Atlanta Gas Light Company after 40 years. He was active in the Kiwanis Club and involved in many civic organizations. Buck was an avid golfer and loved to travel, he took his family on 18 family cruises.

He loved spending time with his family and will be deeply missed. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. at Scot Ward’s Green Meadow Chapel with Dr. Mike Carter officiating. Family will receive friends for a Gathering from 2 until 4 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Memory of Barron L. Merrell, Sr., to a charity of your choice or to New Hope Baptist Church at 4454 GA Highway 256, Sumner, GA 31789. Condolences may be submitted on-line at www. scotward.com.
