FROSTBURG- Beatrice Anna (Passarell) Haupt, 96, of Frostburg passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the WMHS Frostburg Nursing and Rehab Center. Born August 31, 1922 in Westernport, she was the daughter of the late Nuse Passarell and LaVerne (Eisel) Passarell. She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Francis Haupt, Sr., sons, J. Francis Haupt, Jr., and Randy Lee Haupt, grandson, Richard Housel, Jr., sisters Rose Bean, and Margaret Connor, and a brother Michael Passarell.

She is survived by a son James Haupt and friend Christa DiUboldo of LaVale, daughters, Mary Housel and husband Richard of Zihlman, and Rose Spataro and husband “Buddy” of Morantown, a sister Shirley McKenzie of Baltimore, and daughters in law, Roxann Haupt and Mary Haupt. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great grandchildren and one on the way. Beatrice attended the Frostburg United Methodist Church and the Jehovah’s Witness Hall.

She made the best rigatoni. She was a fine cook and good housekeeper. Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Elder David Henderson officiating.

Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
