Obituary for Ben Robert Wray Mr. Ben Robert Wray ,84, of Rock Hill, went to be with Jesus on Monday December 31, 2018. Ben was born on September 18, 1934 in Hickory Grove, SC to the late Phifer and Mary Wright Wray. He was a United States Navy Veteran.
Ben worked for Celanese Textile until his retirement. He loved boating, fishing and spending time with his family. Ben was a friend to everyone that he met, he was an entertaining and loving person who will be missed dearly.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-father Edgar Wallace and one son Allen Cooper. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife Jennie Tinkler Wray of 62 years. Sons Eddie Wray, Stacy O. Cooper and wife Sharon, daughters Karen Wray Nicosia and husband Brian, Jeneice Cooper Denman and husband Mack.
Also surviving is one sister Betty Branigan and several nieces and nephews. Ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00P.M. on Wednesday January 2, 2019 in the Chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home with the Rev.
Chase Catledge officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home, Rock Hill. Interment with military honors will follow at Laurelwood Cemetery.
