Dick is survived by his children, Thomas, Judy, Mark, Shirley Portsmouth (Marc), Heidi Welch (Brett) and Tony (Dell); 16 grandchildren; 4 great-grandsons; and his loving friend, Susan Luo. He is preceded in death by daughters Betty and Vicki Abrams; and by his first wife, Lorraine; and second wife, Billie.

Humble member of the Greatest Generation he learned at an early age the meaning of hard work and sacrifice. As an entrepreneurial Dust-Bowl survivor, Dick ventured to Seattle to work at Boeing, and soon discovered his passion in the auto industry; breaking sales records at Ford, later founding Bent Bike Motorcycle Salvage. Ambitious and forward-thinking, Dick used his talents and successes for the betterment of others, giving generously to multiple charities helping others facing hardship.
