Obituary for Mrs. Benita “Chica” Gallardo Lopez We are gathered here today to remember the life of Benita Gallardo Lopez “Chica”. So that together we can share the countless memories she is leaving us. She was a very loving, caring mom, grandma, and great grandma.

Her favorite thing to do while passing time was watching” Novelas” Spanish soap operas. She made sure that her room had her saints and her crosses. Despite her illness she would always be present at family functions.

Her favorite food were tamales and sweetbread. She loved her two grand pups- Chico & Chica. Benita was born in Houston, Texas to Domingo Gallardo and Vicenta Padilla on April 4, 1939.

She is preceded in death by her late husband Inez Luis Lopez, Sr. Following her two sisters Guadalupe Jimenez and Esperanza Garcia and her brother, Francisco Padilla. Benita is survived by her children and spouses Jose “Wicho”, Jose “Juana” (Gloria), Ray (Lety), Inez “Jr” (Becky “Gorda”) Sally (Neto), Guillermo “Billy” (Shelly) Jose” Chavo”, Esmeralda” Maya” (Michael). Including 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Her brother Juan Gallardo, 2 Step brothers- Rogelio Padilla, Jerry Padilla, and her sisters, Josefina Hernandez, Maria Padilla(Chucha), Maria Padilla(Chaparra), and Vicky Padilla.
