Benny Norris, 92, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, departed this life on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 in AHN Jefferson Hospital. He was born March 27, 1927 in Ensley, AL, son of the late Yancey Norris, Sr. and Rose Watson Norris Talley. Benny was also preceded in death by siblings, Yancey Norris, Jr., Martha Norris-Hudson, Nelson Norris, and grandson, Russell Gallaway.

He was a member of Morning Start Baptist Church of Clairton and retired from US Steel. Benny was also a proud United States Army veteran, who served during World War II. Surviving are his wife, Bessie Jean Norris of Pittsburgh; three children, Sandra (Roger) Norris-Stone of Lithonia, GA, Benny Norris, Jr. of Cleveland, OH, Alysa Norris-Hammons of San Francisco, CA; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Friends will be received Monday, May 20, 2019, from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Morning Star Baptist Church, 307 Shaw Avenue, Clairton, Pennsylvania, where services will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at 11:00 am with Rev. John Knight officiating. Interment will follow in the Jefferson Memorial Park, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
