Bernadine “Betty”‘s Obituary Bernadine “Betty” Vigenski, 90, of Lincoln Township, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2019 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe. Betty was born on July 18, 1928 in Detroit to the late Vincent and Constance (Stysenski) Cornett. On October 5, 1946, she married the love of her life, Archie Vigenski, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dwight Township.

He preceded her in death on April 13, 2014. Betty was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church serving on the Holy Rosary and Alter Societies. She enjoyed cooking, baking, tending to her flowers and spending time with her family and friends.

Betty is survived by her children: Conrad (Sheila) Vigenski of Filion, Larry (Karen) Vigenski of Kinde, Aurelia “Rachael” (Clayton) Parrish of Kinde and Deborah Gumbs of Owosso; ten grandchildren: Steve (special friend, Mary), Pamela (special friend, Rick), Michael (Shaun), Chad (Kayla), Chandi, Aaron (Jessica), Ryan (Jill), Rebekah, Danika, and Keegan (Annie); great grandchildren: Ethan, Braxton, Brady, Wyatt, Norah, Gus, Miles, Clara, Edison and Gideon. She is also survived by her sisters: Mildred Harbowski and Janet (Murdock) Herzog; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son in law, Homer Gumbs; daughter-in-law, Carlene Vigenski; her sisters: Grace White, Mary (Arnold) Wolff, and Lucille (Andrew) Wisneski; and her brother-in-law, Al Harbowski.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at Courtney Manor for their wonderful care of their mother. Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Dwight Township with Fr. Craig Carolan officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Monday, January 21, 2019 at the MacAlpine Gage Chapel in Kinde with rosary service at 4 p.m. Visitation will also be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Gage Chapel on Tuesday. Memorials may be offered to be used at the family’s discretion.
