Bernard’s Obituary Bernard Thomas ton, 68, of Sandy Level, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019. He was born and raised in Long Island, N.Y. before moving to Virginia in 1979. He was a U. S. Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War.

Bernard was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Sophie ton. Survivors include his wife, Janice Widener ton; sons and daughter-in-law, Travis and Linda ton of Gretna, and Quinton ton of Wappingers Falls, N.Y.; 2 grandchildren, Dale and Cassie; brothers and their wives, Raymond and Karen ton, and Kenneth and June ton, all of Long Island, N.Y.; and several other relatives and friends. Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin.
