Bernice M. Grazes (68) was born on December 29, 1950. She was the 3rd born of eight siblings to the late Harry Grazes Sr. and Ruth Grazes. She attended Buffalo Public Schools.

To many she was affectionately known as “Sis”. She was a devoted mother of her two sons. Later she received an Associates Degree at Boces Technical School in Buffalo, NY and earned her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree.

During her 15 years of working as an LPN she did so in a variety of medical arenas within Buffalo, NY and Tampa, FL. Also she was a devoted member of Pentecostal Church of God where she served as a Praying Women of God. Her interests included caring for and spending time with her grand-daughter Kayla.

Bernice was preceded in death by her siblings: Lance Briggs, Robert Briggs, Delcina Patton and William Briggs. Along with her son Michael S. Beard. She leaves to cherish her memories: (son) Nathaniel Beard; (siblings) Harry Grazes, Susan Monroe, Jennell Alexander; Kayla Beard (grand-daughter); a host of cousins, nieces and nephews and her childhood friend Faye Green.
