Bernice O. Berg. 90, of Penn Hills, passed away Sunday July 22, 2018, at home, with family members nearby. She was born Dec.

24, 1927, daughter to the late John H. and Pauline Boehmer. Bernice was an avid church-goer and an activist for many issues, locally and nationally. She was at the forefront for bringing sanitary sewers to Penn Hills along with battling government waste and corruption there.

Her greatest cause was campaigning to eliminate fluoridation in drinking water. She was preceded in death by her husband William W. Berg and son William R. Berg. She is survived by sons, Bruce, Herbert and William W. Berg, grandchildren, Madelaine, Joseph, Lindsay and Kurt.

Services are private and interment will be in Oakmont-Verona Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. Oakmont.
