Bertie Faye Welch, 61, died Thursday, December 6, 2018, at Palmetto Richland Hospital, Columbia. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Monday, December 10, 2018, at Bethel Baptist Church, Olanta, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 PM, Monday, prior to the services.

Mrs. Welch was born on January 5, 1957 in Florence County, daughter of the late Henry Welch, Sr. and Mildred Welch. She was a graduate of Olanta High School and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and loved her family, friends and her Lord.

Surviving are her sons, Christopher (Donna) Welch and Casey Welch, both of Scranton; daughters, Stacey Welch and Jennifer Rockemann, both of Scranton; grandchildren, Chris Welch, Brianna Welch, J. J. Durden and Eden Durden; sisters, Etta Rea Nettles of Scranton and Brenda Welch of Pamplico; brothers, Thomas Welch of Scranton and Henry (Mary) Welch, Jr. of Quinby; nephew, Randy Nettles; great nephew, Bentley Nettles. Mrs. Welch was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Randolph Nettles; niece, Crystal Nettles and cousin, Bill Welch.
