Obituary for Bessie “BB” Hairston Bessie Hairston “BB”, age 91 departed this life on Thursday, July 26, 2018. She was born in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, on March 12, 1927, to the late Timothy Hairston and Sallie Hairston. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, James Hairston, Elder Robert Hairston and Ernest Hairston; and one sister, Adell Hairston Adams.

She was a retired employee of American Furniture Company of Martinsville, Va. She was a faithful member of New Mine Creek Progressive Primitive Baptist Church until her health declined. Left to cherish fond memories are her husband of 66 years, Earnest Hairston; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral will be Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 12:00 noon at New Mine Creek Progressive Primitive Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens.
