OBITUARY Bessie Lobello Christoffel July 19, 1921 – October 15, 2018 Bessie Lobello Christoffel, 97, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 15, 2018 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Lobello and Frances Marengo Lobello; husband, George M. Christoffel; siblings, Sam Lobello, Gus Lobello, Dena Lobello Leuning, Lena Lobello Poche, Vincent Lobello, and Thomas Lobello. She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, friends and others who called her Aunt Bessie.

Bessie was a bookkeeper at the Southern Yacht Club in New Orleans for many years, as well as other businesses. She volunteered at East Jefferson General Hospital. She was a very devout Catholic and prayed the Rosary Daily as well as attending mass daily for many years.

She was a Secular Order O Carmelite, a member of the St. Jude Society, and a leader in the Catholic Daughters of America. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. , New Orleans.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. A graveside service will follow the funeral mass at Metairie Cemetery.
