Obituary for Bette Lou Rookey Bette Lou (Jacksino) Rookey, 73 passed away on May 10, 2018. She was born September 12, 1944 in Superior Wisconsin and grew up in Hawthorne and Poplar. She graduated from Northwestern High School and University of Wisconsin Superior with a degree in secondary education.

She split her career working as a high school teacher and an owner of an insurance agency in Solon Springs. Most recently, she was semi-retired and worked at Home Depot in Corona California where she spent the last 13 years. Bette spent most of her years living in Solon Springs Wisconsin with her family.

The past 15 years she moved to California to be closer to her three grandchildren and daughter. Bette enjoyed spending time with her three grandchildren and watching them play sports. She had two daughters which she enjoyed spending time with and talking on the phone.

Bette had many lifelong friends in Wisconsin and California which she thought of as part of her family. She was loved watching any type of sport on T.V. She was an avid Packer fan and raised her children and grandchildren to Packers fans too.

Bette loved going to Lambeau Field to cheer on her beloved team. Bette also had a love for Elvis and was able to see him in concert several times. She belonged to many golf leagues when she lived in Wisconsin.

The family would like to thank all of the family and friends that have reached out to show their support. Bette was loved by many people and touched so many lives. She will be missed but never forgotten.

Bette is proceeded in death by her parents Anthony and Lucille Jacksino and her sister Jeanne (Jacksino) McKenzie. She is survived by her two daughters Karen Edwards (Jeff Mattingley) and Jennifer Beyer (Gomin Beyer), her beloved grandchildren Trajan (15), Tayten (13) and Talan Beyer (10), nieces Michelle Gillem and Kristine McKenzie. Services for Bette are pending.
