BETTIE C. DUNCAN, 92 LAKELAND – Mrs. Bettie Jeanne Case Duncan of Lakeland died Saturday, October 6, 2018, following a short illness. Bettie was born in Lakeland on November 17, 1925, to the late George and Ada Jane (Sanderson) Case. She attended John Cox Elementary School, Lakeland Junior High and Lakeland Senior High.

She married Buford W. Duncan in 1948 and moved to Virginia. For 32 years, she worked as a private secretary for 20 Post Commanders of Vint Hill Farms Station Army Facility. … Read More » Following her retirement in 1980, she and her husband returned to their hometown of Lakeland.

Bettie was preceded in death by her husband, Buford W. Duncan; her parents, George and Ada Jane Case; brothers Alton and Leon Case; and sisters Myrtle Case Erickson and Wilhelmina C. Gunnels. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, and her loving caregivers Rita Butler, Suzie Goolie, Earle and Jan Duncan, and Richard and Mary Lou Helms. A graveside service will be conducted by Heath Funeral Chapel at Oak Hill Burial Park in Lakeland on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev.
