Bettie’s Obituary Bettie June Linn, 95 a resident of Poplar Bluff for 69 years passed away, Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Oakdale Care Center after a 10 year battle with Alzheimer’s. Mrs. Linn was born in Jerseyville, Illinois to Ira and Emma (Houseman) Welch on June 3, 1923. She married David Martin Linn on Dec.

5, 1944 in Jerseyville, IL. Mrs. Linn took great pride in reminiscing about her job as Rosie the Riveter during WWII as well as her job at the Navy Pier in Chicago. She enjoyed spending time with her family, golf, bridge and china painting.

She is survived by her daughter, Alison Clodfelter (Max) and one grandson, Ryan Linn Clodfelter, sister in law, Bonnie Welch, and a niece Renee Dreusicke (John). She was preceded in death by her husband, David Martin Linn, brother, Duewell Welch, mother Emma Lou Houseman Welch and one granddaughter, Ashley Clodfelter. A graveside service and burial will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Mr. Bob Fisher officiating.
