Bettie Lou Roberts Born August 1, 1942 Died November 29, 2018 Bettie passed away at the home of Lonnie and Chloe Tenbusch of Lebanon, Oregon, where she was taken care of by her daughters. Bettie was a hard worker throughout her life. She worked on a couple of dairies in Central Oregon in the 1960’s.

She then moved to Sweet Home, OR to be a stay at home mom until her children grew up. After raising her children she moved to Pendleton and worked as a cook/caregiver in a private home. She eventually went to work for the State of Oregon at the training center where she cared for the mentally disabled clients.

Bettie loved being in the mountains. In her spare time she would go with her long time boyfriend, Jim Curl of over 30 years, to his cabin where they enjoyed being alone. They would hunt, go fishing, pick mushrooms, ride four wheelers and just enjoy the peace and quiet together.

When she wasn’t in the mountains she loved spending time with her grandkids and kids. She is survived by her six children; Rockie Gilbert of Joplin, Missiouri, Zoie Zacharias of Pendleton, Chloe Tenbusch of Lebanon, Oregon, Wendy Fetterhoff of Hermiston, Oregon, Tina Cordell of Elgin, Oregon and Amber Pryor of Pendleton, Oregon. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Mitchell Hoffman of Elgin, Oregon, her mother Vera Hoffman of Burns, Oregon; sister, Ruby Hoffman of Elgin and aunts Amy Hoffman and Lucy Hoffman both of Elgin, Oregon. A viewing will take place on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Pendleton Pioneer Chapel, Folsom-Bishop from noon until 4:30 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. A celebration of Life will held at a future date.
