Betty A. Boozell, 93 of Orchard Manor, Grove City passed away May 3, 2018. Betty was born September 14, 1924 in Clearfield Pa, she was the daughter of Harvey Lyons and Jeannette Pendleton Lyons. She married Vernice L. “Roy” Boozell on August 14, 1943.

Roy passed away July 3, 1986. Betty retired from Orchard Manor in April of 1987. Prior to working at Orchard Manor Betty worked at Grove City College.

Betty was an avid gardener, she loved to work in her garden taking care of all different plants. She bowled when her health permitted and later in life enjoyed watching stock car races. Her family was her pride and joy.

She was involved in her children and grandchildren’s lives. Loved ones left to cherish her memory are her children: Betty L. Kyler of Cochranton, Linda Grumling and her husband Douglas of Meadville, G. Jean Smyth and her husband Norm of Clintonville and Richard Boozell and his wife Janice of Franklin. 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband and her brothers James and Harvey and sister Dorothy. Betty’s family will welcome friends and family on Monday, May 7, 2018 at the Jamison-McKinley Funeral Home, 117 North Main Street, Harrisville PA from 11:00 am till the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Betty’s grandson, David, will be officiating her service at the funeral home.
