OBITUARY Betty Ann Haskell January 30, 1929 – September 11, 2018 Betty Ann Haskell of Fort Myers, Florida died on Tuesday, September 11, 2018. She was born in Winthrop, Massachusetts on December 30, 1929 to Marjorie & Marshall Tarr. She is a graduate of Winthrop High School and Fisher Junior College in Boston.

She leaves her husband Frank of 65 years, Daughter Nancy ( Randy) Howell of Larkspur, Colorado, Son Robert Haskell of Seabrook , New Hampshire and grandchildren- Justin and Aaron Howell, Cassie Haskell plus four great grandchildren Tanner, Sloane, Teddy and Luke Howell. While moving several times in her husband’s career, Betty always enjoyed hospital and school volunteer work. In 1987 the family moved to Fort Myers.

It was there Betty and Frank founded the Golisano Children’s Hospital Cancer fund in memory of their daughter Barbara who died at age 36 in 1995 of breast cancer. Betty was member of the New Hope Presbyterian Church and recently an associate member of the Chapel of Cypress Cove. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Beech Grove Cemetery in Rockport, Massachusetts.

In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution may be made to Barbara’s Friends, 16514 HealthPark Commons Drive, Suite 200, Fort Myers, FL 33908 or to Cypress Cove Employee Scholarship Fund at 10200 Cypress Cove Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33908.
