Betty Driskill Toney March 27, 1945 – May 13, 2019 Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Betty Driskill Toney Gaffney, SC- – Betty Driskill Toney, 74, of 221 Brickhouse Road, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Monday, May 13, 2019 at her residence. Born in Cherokee Falls on March 27, 1945, she was the wife of 54 years to Johnny E. Toney and daughter of the late Henry and Eliza Wylie Driskill. Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Rev.

David E. Toney (Tina), a daughter, Mrs. Patty Lamb (Johnny) both of Gaffney, SC; granddaughters, Jenn Weaver Carson (Luke) of Banner Elk, NC, Tiffany Weaver Leonard (Lawrence) of Dover, Delaware, Samantha Wyatt Toney of Gaffney, SC and grandsons, Zackery David Toney and Nicholas Lamb (Tara) also of Gaffney; a great-grandson Jaxson Lamb, two sisters, Faye Gibson (Phillip) and Becky McCraw; several nieces and nephews. Betty was a graduate of Blacksburg High School, attended Limestone College, worked at Oxford Industries, and retired from Hamrick’s of Gaffney. She was past president of the Blacksburg Jaycee ette’s and Corinth VFD Ladies Auxiliary.

She enjoyed watching her birds from her window, her flowers and most of all, her grandchildren. In her younger years, she loved playing softball, basketball, and was an avid bowler. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Corinth Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 PM at the Church with Dr. Dwight Easler officiating. Interment will be in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
