Obituary for Betty Eyerly Betty Eyerly, nee Long, 88 years of Columbia, IL, passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018 at Mercy South Hospital, St. Louis, MO. She was born July 9, 1930, in St. Louis, MO, daughter of the late Russell and Esther, nee Christian, Long. She was married to the late Clair D. Eyerly.

He had passed away February 1, 1998. Betty was a very involved member of South County Bible Church (4111 Von Talge Rd. , St. Louis, MO.

63128), and was a discussion leader with Bible Study Fellowship and Community Bible Study. She had retired as a Legal Secretary. Betty loved being part of the Columbia Senior Citizens and playing games with her friends.

The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her last year at Oak Hill Supportive Living of Waterloo and these last days at Mercy Hospital South. Surviving are two daughters, Karen (Wing) Smith of Millstadt, IL, Judy (Chris) Eyerly of Lawrence, KS; three sons, Dan (Rita) Eyerly of Omaha, NE, Richard (Pam) Eyerly of Joliet, IL, and Russell (Jalayne) Eyerly of St. Louis, MO; eight grandchildren, Tamara Smith, Wingo Smith, Christopher (Tammy) Eyerly, Deborah (Scott) Sundblad, Dawn Lane, Dustin Eyerly, Crystal Eyerly, and Erica Eyerly; and many great-grandchildren; brother, Dale (Mary) Long of Bonne Terre, MO, along with other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her brother, James L. Long.

Visitation will be on Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at South County Bible Church (4111 Von Talge Rd. , St. Louis, MO. 63128).

Services will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. at South County Bible Church (4111 Von Talge Rd. , St. Louis, MO. 63128) with Pastor Clegguart Mitchell, officiating.

Private family interment will be in the Evangelical St. Paul Cemetery, Columbia, IL. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to: South County Bible Church (4111 Von Talge Rd. , St. Louis, MO.
