Betty’s Obituary Betty Gray Campbell-Grotzinger, 91, of Sedalia, died Thursday, January 24, 2019 at The Parkway Assisted Living Center in Blue Springs. Born June 30, 1927 in Louisville, KY, she was a daughter of the late Simeon Ott and Maymee (Gray) Campbell. On October 23, 1964 at First Baptist Church in Sedalia, she married Ralph Grotzinger, who preceded her in death on May 5, 1997.

Betty was raised in Lebanon, MO and attended grade school there. Her family then moved to a farm between La Monte and Knob Noster. She graduated from Knob Noster High School and attended Central Business College in Sedalia.

She worked at Union Savings Bank as an assistant cashier for 44 years, retiring in January 1997. She and her husband Ralph enjoyed spending time at their lake cabin where she learned to fish. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

She is survived by a very special step-son, Pete Grotzinger (Joyce) of Omaha, NE; a nephew, Donald Robinson (Paula) of Independence; a niece, Joanne Searle (John) of Grain Valley; four great-nephews and two great-nieces. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Helen Anne Robinson. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2019 at First Baptist Church.

Burial will be in Highland Sacred Gardens. Visitation will be 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church, or Show-Me Christian Youth Home, in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.
