Betty J. Akins, age 76, of Douglasville, GA. passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2018. She was born on February 7, 1942 in Atlanta, GA.

, to the late James and Maggie Berry. She was the owner of a clothing store and was a faithful member of Praise Mill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Jerry Atkins Sr. and her parents.

Survivors include her daughters; Debra and John Budny of Powder Spring, GA. , Tammy and Ruric Brandt of South Pittsburg, TN. , and her 5 grandchildren, Brittany and James Othmer, Seth and Sydney Barclay, Justin Budny, Lachlan Brandt and Rurie Brandt .
