Betty J. Bunch, 77, of Farmer City, formerly of Mahomet, died in Weldon on Monday morning (Nov. 12, 2018). There will be a visitation Wednesday, Nov.

14, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Sangamon Valley Christian Center, 200 W. Washington St., Mahomet, with a small service by Pastor Caleb Ingrum and Pastor Brent Roberson at 7 p.m. A graveside service will take place Friday, Nov. 16, at 1 p.m. at Massac Memorial Gardens, Metropolis, with Pastor Gary Derossett presiding. Blair-Owens Funeral Home, Mahomet, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Betty was born July 29, 1941, in Metropolis, to Glenn and Effie Halcom. She married Arthur Bunch on Dec. 17, 1961, in Metropolis.

He preceded her in death, as well as one brother, Paul Halcom; and one sister, Carolyn Stoker. She is survived by two children, Dan (Debbie) Bunch of Mahomet and Jana (John) Eads of Weldon; two grandchildren, Daniella and Zack Hill of Grand Haven, Mich. , and Derek Bunch of Chattanooga, Tenn.

; along with two stepgrandsons, Tyler and Page Eads of Cissna Park and Benjamin Eads of Farmer City. Betty was a longtime member of Sangamon Valley Christian Center and also enjoyed attending services at Trinity Community Fellowship in Farmer City. She was a member of the Garden Club in Farmer City and enjoyed visiting with her friends at Imo’s Cafe.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to the Betty Bunch Memorial Fund, 7826 Buttercup Road, Weldon, IL 61882.
