Betty J. Hall, 83, formerly of Gotham St., Watertown, passed away May 9, 2019 at the Samaritan Summit Village where she had been a resident. She was born on December 20, 1935 in Gouverneur, NY, daughter of John W. and Myrtle J. Worden Blackburn. She attended Gouverneur Elementary Schools and then moved to Watertown where she graduated from Watertown High School in 1953.

Betty was employed by the City of Watertown where she worked in the purchasing department. In later years she was employed with the Watertown City School District, retiring in 1999. She married David G. Hall on August 25, 1956 at Bethany United Methodist Church, in Watertown with Rev.

Wilber officiating. Mr. Hall was a retired New York State Trooper, he passed away March 4, 1990. Among her survivors are two sons and three daughters in law, Kenneth and Donna Hall, Upton, MA, Timothy Hall and Beth Berlin, Missoula, MT, Kelly Hall, Watertown, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband she was predeceased by her son, Mark Hall who passed away on December 24, 2018, and two sisters, Mabel Link in 2013 and Geraldine O’Brien in 2007. Arrangements are incomplete with the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home 117 N. Massey St., Watertown. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Adams Center.
