Betty J. Kozar, 82, of Derry (Seger) passed away peacefull Monday December 24, 2018 in Excela Westmoreland Hospital. She was born January 21, 1936 in Humbert, PA. The daughter of the late Charles and Harriett Mitchell.

Betty was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Derry, had graduated from Ligonier Valley High School, became a beautician and later retired from Blairsville Machine Co She loved to cook and spend time with her family. She was her grandchildren’s biggest cheerleader.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years Stephen W. Kozar Sr, her sons; Stephen W. Kozar Jr. (Gwen) of Blairsville and Mark F. “Mac” Kozar (Mary Kay) of Derry. Six grandchildren; Stephen W. Kozar V (Kristin), Amber Gray (Scott), Matthew Kozar(Trudie), Mandee Kozar, Katie Paul (Jason), Samantha Somers (Cody). Five great grandchildren.

Friends will be received Friday from 2-4 and 6-8pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 300 W. Third Avenue, Derry. A funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 11am in the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Derry with her pastor the Reverend William Schaefer officiating. (Everyone please go directly to the church) Interment will be made in the Coles Cemetery, Derry.

In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Derry.
